Is "Theistic Naturalism" (or Deistic Naturalism) an oxymoron?

In this article, John Burgeson reviews the book "Religon & Scientific Naturalism" written by the late David Ray Griffin (originally published in 2000) and endorses Griffin's theses that: 1) science need not be based on philosophical materialism, 2) that naturalism need not be equated with materialism and 3) religion (or spirituality) need not be equated with supernaturalism.
